Connect to UK public data
The GovBridge API gives developers a common way to request company records, property sale history, food hygiene ratings and DVSA MOT history.
See supported data and API documentation →GovBridge, explained
Use one API key to request Companies House records, property sale history, food hygiene ratings and DVSA MOT history. Try supported lookups in your browser before building an integration.
A developer connects your software to the API. Browser tools let you try supported lookups without writing code.
We are starting with up to five invited teams and a 14-day review period. Each verified account receives the existing 500 free credits; no payment card is required. The review period does not introduce credit expiry.
Use the pilot for evaluation and non-critical workflows. There is no uptime or recovery-time guarantee. HMRC remains sandbox-only, and DVLA vehicle lookup is unavailable.
The five-team limit applies to our guided review group; public account registration remains open. Accounts and API keys are individual: shared team access is not available.
Start with a company search for 1 credit and check your dashboard usage. Food hygiene search costs 1 credit, MOT history 2 credits and property sale history 150 credits per request. Other company endpoints have their own costs; check the API documentation before calling them.

See supported data and API documentation →GovBridge Assurance compares test reports so your team can see which checks passed, failed or could not finish. A developer sets up and runs these checks.
Try the guided demonstration →A simple example
It checks what your team specifies. It does not fix the software automatically or prove that a tax return is correct.
Discuss a recurring software problem and whether a scoped pilot would help. You will need a technical partner to run checks.
Explore help with setup →Review uploaded reports and changes before a release. Ask your developer to set up the checks first.
Sign in to the report workspace →Reports belong to the signed-in account; shared team access is not available.
Start with a local demonstration, then configure checks for your test system. Upload a report without exposing raw responses.
Run your first check →GovBridge is an independent service. It is not accounting software or a government approval service.
You can sign in by email and review reports in the browser without writing code. A developer must configure and run the checks, and someone must upload the results. An empty account will not contain reports from your existing software.
A pass means that a specific expected result was present in that run. Your team still decides whether a release is ready. Reports are supplied by your team; GovBridge does not independently witness the tests or certify compliance, tax correctness or HMRC approval.
